Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
Nerdy Neighbor Designs is a family-owned shop in Manor, Texas. We make custom crystals, engraved slate, wood signs, 3D prints and other personalized gifts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit nerdyneighbordesigns.com, place an order, contact us or buy from us in person, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version: we collect what we need to make and deliver your order, we use your photos only to make your order, we do not sell your personal information, and you can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
1. Information You Give Us
Orders and checkout. Your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, the products you choose, your personalization choices and any order notes.
Photos, artwork and text for your order. The photos, logos, artwork, names, dates and messages you upload or send us so we can design, mock up and make your product.
Your account. If you create an account, your login details and saved addresses. Passwords are stored in encrypted form, and we cannot see them.
Messages. What you send us through our contact form, by email, by phone or text, or through social media, including any photos you attach.
Newsletter. Your email address, if you sign up in our website footer.
Reviews. Your name and the review, if you leave one on our website, Google or Facebook.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you browse our website, we and the services we use automatically collect some technical information. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the website that sent you to us, and the approximate location (city or region) based on your IP address. Some of this is collected with cookies and similar tools, explained in Section 7.
3. Payment Information
Card payments, Cash App Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay are processed by Square. In-person sales at our shop or at events are also processed through Square. Your full card number goes directly to Square. We do not see it and do not store it on our website. We receive limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits and whether the payment went through. Square's use of your information is covered by Square's own privacy policy.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process, make and deliver your order, including local pickup.
- Create and send your digital mockup or proof, and make any changes you request.
- Send order confirmations, mockups, shipping and pickup updates, and answers to your questions.
- Provide customer service and handle returns, replacements and damage claims.
- Prevent fraud and keep our website and store secure.
- Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
- Send our newsletter, only if you signed up for it.
- Measure and show our advertising, as described in Section 7.
- Keep business, tax and accounting records, and meet our legal obligations.
5. Your Photos and Designs
We use the photos, artwork and text you provide only to design, mock up, make and support your order. We do not use them for anything else, and we never sell them.
Some design tools on our website, such as background removal in our slate designer, run on your own device. Your photo is only sent to us when you add the item to your cart or place your order.
We keep your order files so we can answer questions, fix a problem or make a reorder or reprint for you. You can ask us to delete your photos at any time after your order is complete by contacting us.
Photos of finished products. As described in our Terms & Conditions, we may photograph a finished item and share it on our website and social media. If you would prefer we not share your piece, check the “Please don’t share photos of my order” box at checkout, mention it in your order notes, reply to your order email or call us, and we won’t. We never post your name, address or contact details with these photos. If you change your mind after we have posted something, contact us and we will take it down.
6. Who We Share Information With
We share information only with the companies that help us run our shop, and only what they need to do their job:
- Payment processing: Square, for online and in-person payments.
- Shipping: carriers such as UPS and USPS receive your name, shipping address and, when needed, your phone number so they can deliver your package.
- Website hosting and security: our web host (HostGator) stores our website and its data. Jetpack (by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com) provides website security, backups and visitor statistics.
- Email delivery: an email delivery service sends our order and mockup emails.
- Order and customer records: we use Zoho to keep track of orders and customers.
- Advertising and analytics: Google and TikTok, as described in Section 7.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect our rights, our customers or others from fraud or harm.
- Business changes: if our business is ever sold or reorganized, customer information may be transferred as part of that change, and this policy would continue to apply.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
7. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use:
- Necessary cookies to keep items in your cart, keep you signed in and complete checkout. The website will not work properly without them.
- Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. We use Jetpack Stats, WooCommerce analytics and our own visitor statistics.
- Advertising tools from Google (Google Ads and Google Merchant Center) and TikTok. These tools tell us when someone who saw or clicked one of our ads visits our website or places an order, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who may be interested. These companies may use cookies and information about your visit as described in their own privacy policies.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working. You can control personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com and from TikTok in your TikTok app settings. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info.
8. Emails and Messages
We send emails about your order, such as confirmations, mockups, and shipping or pickup updates. These are part of your order and are not marketing.
We only send our newsletter if you signed up for it. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter email or contacting us, and we will remove you.
If you call or text us, we use your number only to reply to you and help with your order. We do not send marketing text messages.
9. How Long We Keep Information
- Orders and payment records: as long as needed for taxes, accounting and warranty questions, generally several years.
- Your photos and design files: while we may need them for your order, reorders or reprints. We delete them sooner if you ask.
- Messages: as long as needed to help you and keep a record of our conversation.
- Newsletter signups: until you unsubscribe.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete your account.
10. How We Protect Your Information
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Payments are handled by Square, so your card number never touches our website. Access to customer information is limited to the people who run our shop. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will let you know if a problem affects you, as required by law.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Delete your information, including your photos and your account.
- Stop sending you our newsletter.
- Stop using your information for advertising.
Depending on where you live, including Texas and other states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights under those laws. To make a request, email or call us using the details below. We may ask you to confirm some details so we know the request is really from you. We will respond within the time required by law, generally within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request. We may need to keep some information when the law requires it, such as order records for tax purposes.
12. Children
Our website is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents often send us photos of their children for keepsakes. We use those photos only to make the order and treat them with the same care as any other customer photo. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Other Websites
Our website links to other sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, Google and TikTok. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please review their privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, we will let customers know on our website or by email.
